This duplex apartment was reimagined as a bright, contemporary home through a thoughtful transformation of space, light, and circulation.

Originally dark and disconnected, the apartment was opened up to create a stronger connection between the two levels. The upper level becomes the social heart of the home, with a generous kitchen and dining space designed around natural light, openness, and everyday living. A sculptural stair with a clean, dark metal railing becomes a defining architectural element, while carefully integrated lighting adds depth and emphasizes the geometry of the space.

The lower level is designed as a more private retreat, housing the primary bedroom and living space. The contrast between the active upper level and quieter lower level creates a layered experience throughout the home.

Our approach focused on maximizing natural light, clarifying circulation, and introducing architectural moments that give the interior a strong sense of identity, transforming a dark duplex into a dynamic, bright, and connected home.
