Transforming a Dark Catskills Property into a Bright, Airy Home on a Budget
Our city client asked us to turn a dark and dated property, recently purchased, in the Catskills into an open, airy, and comfortable home. It was critical to engage the outdoors, bring natural light, enhance the depth of space, and promote wellness and productivity. Our studio’s mandate was to achieve all these goals while keeping the construction budget to a minimum.
The selection of building materials and lighting fixtures was focused on cost-effective, and long-lasting products while maintaining project objectives. Our approach to detailing was to keep it simple, and work with the GC to meet project design intent in a way that was easy to build on-site and achieve project goals.
