Edge House

Location: Over looking the Hudson River 1930 home located on a narrow lot along the western edge of

Weehawken, NJ.

Exterior: Enhance connectivity to the outdoors while creating privacy utilizing form making, i.e. the private balcony off the second floor and the recessed lower level glass wall. These were the key ideas that guided our studio in the design of this project.

Interior: Enhance connectivity between the interior spaces both vertically and horizontally by utilizing multiple floor openings. A sense of discovery and transition was developed from the street facade to the rear facade facing the NY skyline. This was achieved by increasing the level of openness as one progresses through the interior space and discovers the city scape.
